We offer handgun training to fit every person’s needs. All classes can be customized, including being done in your home, business, or community using barrel blocked and/or dummy guns (live fire requires a range).
If you’re not sure owning a gun is right for you, start with our consultation. It’s a free virtual (or phone call) 30-minute session that can help you decide which training path to start on. Go to our contact page and send an email to get started.

Introduction to Handguns
This class is the place to start if you’ve never shot a gun, it’s been a while, or if you’ve never taken professional training before. It will set you up with a solid and safe foundation for advanced level handgun trainings or going to the range on your own for fun.
We will cover safety extensively, the mechanics and operations of handguns, and the fundamentals of shooting with a focus on gripping the gun properly, getting a good sight picture, and properly pressing the trigger. Skills will be practices with unloaded guns and once everyone is comfortable and reasonably proficient, we’ll move on to live fire.
Pre-requisite: None
Length of Class: 4 hours
Fee: $100/person
Required Gear: Hearing protection, eye protection, a handgun, and 100 rounds of ammunition
*There are a limited number of handguns and hearing protection available to borrow, please email if interested. I have plenty of extra eye protection if you don’t have any
Intermediate Handgun
Intermediate handgun starts with a quick refresher on safety and the fundamentals then moves on to new skills. We’ll work on addressing stoppages, one-handed shooting, switching between multiple targets, and shooting on the move. You should be comfortable manipulating your gun before taking this class.
Pre-requisite: Introduction to Handgun, Private Lesson(s), or Instructor Approval
Fee: $100
Length of Class: 4 hours
Required Gear: Hearing protection, eye protection, a handgun, and 300 rounds of ammunition
Holster Skills (Advance Handgun)
Very few people have learned the correct and safe way to draw from a holster and to put their gun back in the holster when the time is right. Yet, countless people are walking around carrying a gun in public having never learned or practiced this important skill. We also have people signing up to take advance level classes that require working from a holster who also lack proper training which can slow down classes. And it’s not really anyone’s fault. The state does not require you to shoot your concealed carry permit qualification from a holster, and most ranges (except private outdoor ones) prohibit people from training from a holster.
In this class we will teach you the proper way to safely draw from your holster, whether you are carrying inside or outside the waistband, open or concealed, strong-side or appendix. You will also learn the proper way to put the gun back in the holster once the threat is eliminated (or the class drill is completed).
Holstering a gun is one of the most dangerous times when handling a gun because people get in a hurry or accidently point a gun at themselves or others. This is a slow-paced class with LOTS of practice with empty guns before moving on to live fire.
Pre-requisite: Intermediate Handgun, Private Lesson(s), other professional firearms training, or Instructor Approval
Fee: $100
Length of Class: 3 hours
Required Gear: Hearing protection, eye protection, a handgun, an appropriate holster for your gun, and 100 rounds of ammunition
Train How You Carry – Conceal Carry Purses
Purse carrying your handgun it’s not as simple as throwing a gun in your bag and going about your day. You have to properly stage the gun, make commitments to certain how you carry your purse, and much more.
In this class we’ll get your individual purse and gun combo set up for success and practice extensively with an empty gun. Once everyone is ready, we’ll get to actually practice drawing from your purse and shooting live rounds. This class will go very slow to ensure safety and success for everyone.
Pre-requisite: Holster Skills, Private Lesson(s), other professional firearms training, or Instructor Approval
Length of Class: 3 hours
Fee: $100
Required Gear: Hearing protection, eye protection, a handgun, a conceal carry purse with a dedicated pocket for the gun, and 100 rounds of ammunition
